The China International Leather Exhibition is the only international level exhibition in China, and has always been hailed as a grand event that international enterprises must participate in to explore the vast Chinese market. It is also the focal point of the global leather industry. Since its establishment in 1998, the Leather Exhibition has welcomed tens of thousands of buyers every year from major provinces in China that specialize in leather making and the production of footwear and leather products.

The China International Leather Exhibition is a place for purchasing upstream products such as raw leather, semi-finished leather, leather chemical raw materials, leather machinery, etc. Domestic tanneries will process the products into finished leather. Famous overseas leather manufacturers will also participate in the exhibition, introducing their high-quality finished leather and shoe materials to domestic shoe and automotive leather importers.

中国国际皮革展一向被誉爲国际企业开拓庞大中国市场期间势必参与的盛会。

自1998年创办以来，展会迎来数十万的买家，大部分来自中国製革和生产鞋履和皮革产品的主要省份。展会买家约85%来自中国内地，令展会成为全球皮革业的触目焦点所在。

中国国际皮革展是採购半製成革、化工原料、机械等上游产品的场所，国内製革厂会将产品加工成製成品。同时不少海外知名製革厂也会参展，向国内的鞋履及汽车皮革製造商介绍他们的优质製成革。
